UMAR MAHMOOD AND ADAM BODI DEATH
The previous head of the school paid respects to the two former students who lost their lives on Tuesday night at around 10.55 p.m. on Chain Caul Way in Preston, Lancashire, when an Audi A3 Sport car drove off the road and struck some trees.
After sustaining numerous injuries in the collision, Mr. Mahmood, the driver of the vehicle, passed away on Thursday morning in the hospital.
Wednesday saw the hospital death of Adam, a passenger in the back seat. A third boy, seventeen years old, who was riding in the front seat, sustained severe injuries but is currently in stable condition at the hospital. Preston is the hometown of all three of them.
The former school of both kids, Penwortham Priory Academy in Preston, paid tributes to them. The teenagers will be buried on Friday.
“We are saddened as a school to receive the news that Umar Mahmood, who was in the same accident as Adam and who left Priory two years ago, has also gone away on Thursday, September 12,” stated Matt Eastham, the school’s principal.
“Umar Mahmood was a talented, industrious, and adored student at our school. In addition to being a member of Priory’s school cricket team and an actor in the BBC One documentary Freddie Flintoff’s Field of Dreams, he had a strong interest in geography.
“Knowing Umar Mahmood was an honor for us at Priory.” He was a young man full of ambition and generosity who constantly showed consideration for others around him. Naturally, we are deeply saddened by this news.
On behalf of the school, we extend our deepest sympathies to Umar Mahmood’s family and friends during what will undoubtedly be a very trying period. We are also thinking of them and praying for them today. Adam had only recently left the school, according to Mr. Eastham, after receiving his GCSE results this summer.
“Adam was an outstanding student, of whom we have nothing but wonderful memories,” the speaker stated. He was a first-class football player who had been a member of our football team at Priory for five years. He was also popular, intelligent, self-assured, and full of personality.
“We are aware that the loss of one of their own will grieve the others of his year group just as much. Adam was a wonderful young man, and our prayers and thoughts are with him, his family, and his friends.
According to Lancashire Police, they are looking into the collision and have requested dashcam and CCTV evidence.
The Road Policing Unit of Lancashire Police’s Sergeant Paul McCurrie stated: “This was an accident with sad circumstances.”I want to express my condolences to the families, friends, and loved ones of the two young individuals who have passed away.
x”We are investigating how the collision happened, and we continue to ask anyone who witnessed it to contact us,” the statement reads. Additionally, please get in contact if you have dashcam or CCTV footage from the Chain Caul Lane area around the time of the crash and you were driving there.
