Aleksander Ceferin, president of UEFA, states that the European football calendar is now “full” to the point where “nothing can change anymore.”

The head of European football stated that expanding the Champions League was necessary to assist clubs in financial trouble as costs rise and to spread more cash across the continent, despite concerns about players’ workload and burnout.
